Christmas is coming

We're getting ready for Christmas. The tree is up, the cookies are made and shopping has started. Jenson has been very good about the not touching the tree. It was decided that we would not barricade our beautiful tree in the dining room and hope that our little climber could admire without destroying. So far he has been very, very good. He'll point to a favorite ornament, give a squeal/grunt of approval and move along.

For his second year, Jenson got to accompany to the tree lot. Will we be ready to cut our own next year?

I propped him in front of the tree with his little "practice package" for a few photos. Apparently he has learned how to say "cheese". Hilarious!

We also took Jenson to see his first Christmas light display this weekend. City Garden downtown is apparently just as much fun in the winter as it is in the summer. Lots of lights wrapped around the sculptures and giant glass globes that Jenson enjoyed running around and pounding. He had a blast and we just let him go since we were virtually the only people there.

This is my current favorite photo of our guy.  I don't know if it's the old fashioned hat and the fact that he looks like his arms my be stuck out to the sides a la Randy on "The Christmas Story" or if it's simply the look of pure joy on that sweet little face.
